Release of A to Z of Animals Dead & Alive Colouring Book

Link to order on Etsy – NZ and Aus only

I am so excited to present my first physical colouring book! If you’ve been following my work for a while you may know that I have made digital colouring books on Etsy before, repurposing vintage illustrations and converting them into modern formats, but this is the first collection I have completely drawn by hand and I am so stoked to be sharing it with the world after working on it all year!

I have always been an animal person, and at the risk of this turning into a long recipe intro, I’ve always loved the macabre too. For the past 10 months I have been illustrating and formatting my little heart out and finally this week have a physical copy of my first book in my hands, which is unreal!

This book is suitable for all ages with no gore, just plain animal bones and the animals they (once) belong(ed) to, so would be suitable for your gothic baby right up to your natural history loving grandma. There are 26 illustrated animals and their fleshless counterparts so you can learn the alphabet and colour in some sick animals at the same time. Using vintage anatomical illustrations and photographs of reconstructed skeletons as a reference, I have digitally drawn all of these illustrations using an iPad and Procreate over the past year.

I have also made packs of 9 stickers which are hand-cut and printed by me which are available as a pack with the book on Etsy, as well as a seamless repeating pattern that can be used as a phone, tablet or computer wallpaper, and a free bookmark with orders placed before October 20th

If you live locally and want to grab a copy in person they will also be available at The Dunedin Art Collective in Green Island, and if you have any questions please find me on Instagram. The book is proudly printed right here in Ōtepoti Dunedin!

Much love, J x
