Jemma is a mixed media sculptor in \u014ctepoti Otago creating one of a kind folk horror creatures and treasured objects. Her work primarily focuses on altering existing ceramic figurines, sculpting new pieces from clay, knitting and sewing complementary components (often utilising vintage yarn, lace and fabric) to bring existing materials into a new space. Her work is often a nod to classic fairytales and folk stories, horror movies, the Victorian era and drawn from personal reference. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
